Class description

This 6-session course is our flagship beginners’ class for people new to improvisational theatre.

During this course, you’ll learn and hone fundamental improvisational skills like listening, saying yes, and collaborating creatively with your classmates. You will have ample opportunity to practise building characters, develop satisfying onstage relationships and generate spontaneous, laugh-out-loud stories... all while having the time of your life!

Completing this course gives you access to our more advanced courses, specialised workshops, regular community improv jams, and a strong alumni network.

Make up policy: Students will be guaranteed one make up class in the event of illness or emergency. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee make ups as they are subject to coach availability and class timings. Please try to attend all the classes during a cycle!

Please also note that the minimum age for registering is 15 years old.

  • Improv for Everyone Attendee ($400): You've attended our improv taster session and decided to continue! As a token of thanks, we're deducting the cost of the session from your class fee.
  • Buddy Discount ($390): Thanks for bringing a friend! Please select this option if you're signing up for the class with another person.
  • Supported Price ($360): We're glad to offer this option for those who could use a little support right now. If you're a student, NSF or at least 65 years old, please select this option.
  • Encore Price ($210): For folks who have already completed Improv 101 and would like to redo it. Thank you for your enthusiasm!
